Commencement Banner

Date: April 13, 2018 | Time: 5:45 pm | Location: BYU-Idaho Center

Commencement is a gathering of all graduates where degrees are conferred and attendees receive counsel and recognition from the University President, a member of the Board of Trustees or its designee, and other guests. Tickets are required.

Commencement will also be  streamed live, via the internet.

Graduation exercises at BYU-Idaho differ than most others in that we invite the ministry of the Spirit by our conduct and proceedings. To assist in this process and to show respect for everyone present, graduates are asked to adhere to BYU-Idaho's Dress and Grooming Standard of Sunday dress.

Additionally, so as not to draw attention to any one individual, flowers, leis, and other embellishments that might be considered academic regalia should not be attached to or worn with the cap and gown. Do not put anything on your cap other than your tassel. However, outside of these ceremonies, the wearing of honor cords and other regalia are permitted for society and other graduation pictures.

Position the tassel on the Left Side of the academic cap, and wear the cap squarely on your head. Male graduates should remove their caps for prayers and posting of the Colors.

Graduates may keep the cap, gown and tassel.
