FDCOM 201 Discontinuation

Spring Semester 2009 is the last semester FDCOM 201, Professional Communication, will be offered. FDENG 201, Advanced Writing and Critical Reading, is replacing it. The new course focuses on strengthening advanced writing and critical thinking skills. Please be aware of the following details regarding the change:

• The university will begin offering FDENG 201 Winter Semester 2010.
• Students on the 2008 catalog who have already taken FDCOM 201, will not need to take an additional course. FDCOM 201 will fulfill their requirement.
• Students on the 2008 catalog who have not taken FDCOM 201 can take ENG 311 during Fall Semester 2009 to fulfill the requirement or wait to take FDENG 201 in the winter.
• If students on the 2008 catalog elect to update their catalog year to 2009, or any future catalog, FDENG 201 will be required.
