Frequently Asked Questions


1. Do I get a Meal Card?
A. Your Premium Meal Plans, Prepaid Meals, and Dining Dollars are added directly to your Student ID Card (I-Card).

2. Can I split a plan or Dining Dollars with a sibling or spouse?
A. Prepaid Meals and Dining Dollars may be split between siblings and spouses only, but Premium Meal Plans cannot be shared.

3. Can I bring guests?
A. If you have Prepaid Meals you may use your meals to bring guests into the Galley, but Premium Meal Plans must use their Dining Dollars to pay for guests.

4. Can I add meals during the semester?
A. You may add Prepaid Meals to an exsisting purchase at anytime during the semester by visiting our office (MC 243) or calling (208)496-2250.

5. Can I downgrade to a lesser plan?
A. You may downgrade by cancelling the original plan and purchasing the desired one. Cancellation fees will apply (see our brochure for details).

6. How do I cancel my plan?
A. You can cancel your plan by visiting our office (MC 243) or calling us (208)496-2250 up until one week before the end of the semester. Cancellation fees will apply (see our brochure for details).

7. What if I have Prepaid Meals left over at the end of the semester?
A. Prepaid Meals are forfeit if not used by the end of the semester, these cannot be carried over. You may apply apply for a refund if done at least one week before the end of the semester.

8. What if I have Dining Dollars left over at the end of the semester?
A. Dining Dollars roll over from semester to semester and are valid until one calendar year from the last date of use.

9. What are exceptions to normal operation hours?
A. Normal operation hours apply except for holidays, breaks between semesters, and General Conference. Hours will be posted at each location during these times.

10. Can I use my meal plan at locations other than the Galley?
A. Yes, you may use "Meal Replacements" at our other locations. Click here to learn more.
