What are Dining Dollars?

Prepaid food dollars added to your I-Card. Dining Dollars differ from I-Card money by adding 5%-20% bonus dollars to the amount purchased.

 

What are the benefits?

Bonuses:

$0 - $49 = N/A
$50 - $199 = 5% Upfront Bonus $
$200 - $499 = 7.5% Upfront Bonus $
$500 - $999 = 10% Upfront Bonus $
$1000 - $1499 = 15% Upfront Bonus $
$1500 - $1999 = 20% Upfront Bonus $

How do I use them?

Very simple: Tell the cashier you want to use Dining Dollars, hand your card to them to swipe it, and away you go. Vending machines will automatically scan for Dining Dollars (so you don't need to tell them what you're doing...they don't communicate well anyway).

How many Dining Dollars do I need?

There are 70 weekdays and 14 Saturdays in a semester. The average cost of a meal is between $5.50 - $6.50. Dining Dollars may be purchased in any amount, however:

 

Suggested options include but are not limited to:

Dining Gold: $1,500 (Plus 20% Bonus $$)

• 3 Meals /Day (Mon - Sat)
  • No meals provided on Sundays*

Dining Silver: $1,000 (Plus 15% Bonus $$)

• 2 Meals /Day (Mon - Sat)
  • No meals provided on Sunday*

Dining Bronze: $600 (Plus 10% Bonus $$)

• 1 Meals /Day (Mon - Sat)
  • No meals provided on Sunday*

*All campus eateries will be closed on Sundays. To meet student meal needs, options will be available for purchase during weekday and Saturday hours.

Dining Dollar Terms and Conditions:

 

Dining Dollars are now refundable for anyone who requests a refund.  If a refund of Dining Dollars is requested within two (2) weeks of purchase, then there is no charge for processing.  However, after the two week period, a processing fee of $35 will be charged.  The balance of Dining Dollars will be refunded, minus the original free bonus dollars given, and minus the $35 processing fee.  As always, Dining Dollars roll over from semester to semester, and only expire after 1 year from the last time the Dining Dollars are used.
