Robert R. Lee Promise Scholarships

Robert R. Lee Promise Category A Scholarship
The Robert R. Lee Promise Category A Scholarship, formerly known as the State of Idaho Scholarship, provides approximately 25 new scholarships each year to academic scholars and professional-technical students. The award is $3,000 per year, renewable up to four years for academic programs and for the term of the professional-technical program, up to three years.
Category A Eligibility:To qualify for the scholarship, a student must meet all of the following criteria:
- Be an Idaho resident
- Effective for the current academic year, be a graduating senior of an Idaho high school or its equivalent
- Enroll as a full-time student in an academic or professional-technical program at an eligible Idaho college or university
Academic applicants must also:
- Effective for the current academic year, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above and an ACT score of 28 or above
- Enroll as a full-time student in an academic program at an eligible Idaho college or university.

Robert R. Lee Promise Category B Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by the Idaho State Board of Education. No specific application from the student is required. BYU-Idaho will award the Robert R. Lee Promise Scholarship based upon the student's data supplied on the University's admissions application. This will normally be done approximately 30 days before the semester begins and after the student has registered for a minimum of 12 credits. BYU-Idaho is not a matching school. The award amount may differ each year based upon annual state appropriations.
