Loan Counseling

Entrance Counseling

All students receiving a Stafford Student Loan for the first time are required to have Entrance Counseling on the internet prior to the release of the initial loan check.

Exit Counseling

Students must also receive Exit Counseling on the internet prior to completion of the course of study or at the time of departure from BYU-Idaho. This counseling is also conducted in person two times per week the last six weeks of each semester. Contact the Financial Aid Office for the time and place for the counseling. The institution must collect information from borrowers during the Exit Interview, which must then be forwarded to their guarantee agency.
