Tuition and Test Fee Waivers
Test fee waivers and reduction programs that BYU-Idaho students are able to participate in:
Students whose parent(s) are employed at BYU-Idaho or any CES school (BYU, BYU-Hawaii, LDS Business College, etc.) and are eligible for a tuition waiver need to direct all inquiries concerning tuition waivers to the Human Resources Office. The Financial Aid Office does not control nor facilitate this program.
Request to receive consideration for eligibility to reduce Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) fee's. Eligibility is determined based on guidelines established by GRE test administrators. This certificate may be used by a student only once per lifetime. The certificate may be applied toward the test fees for one GRE General Test, and/or one Subject Test. A student must have completed a FAFSA to be considered (certain eligibility requirements are based off of the FAFSA results). After submitting the form to the Financial Aid Office, expect the processing of the form to take a minimum of 48 hours (students need to be mindful of deadlines).

Request to receive consideration to waive Praxis Professional Skills Test (I or II) fees. Eligibility is determined based on guidelines established by GRE test administrators. This program limits 1 fee waiver submission per student per academic year. A student must have completed a FAFSA (certain eligibility requirements are based off of the FAFSA results) to be considered. Students need to correctly complete top section of the request form (name/contact info) and submit it to the Financial Aid Office. Expect the completion and processing of the form to take a minimum of 48 hours (students need to be mindful of deadlines).
