Mission Statement

West Weber Elementary fosters rich educational experiences through innovative and effective researched based instructional methods; provides a safe and caring school climate; and honors a rich multigenerational heritage.

Message from the Principal

I welcome you to West Weber Elementary. We are one of the first areas of Ogden and Weber County to be settled by pioneers. A public school has been part of the community since its settlement. We are proud of the fact that our students are well behaved and willing to be taught. Our parents are supportive and involved. Our teachers are well trained professionals that infuse technology into their research based instruction. Daily, I feel gratitude to be assigned to this school and work with such a fine educational community.

About the School

West Weber is Weber County's most rural school. Even though our boundaries are rural it is still convenient to the interstate and city. We have a 33% low socio economic status and an 11% minority rate. We score at the 50th percentile in our state end of level testing.

We are looking for perspective teachers that want to learn how to become education professionals from current professionals that have perfected their craft. We want teachers that are willing to engage whole classrooms, and at the same time identify struggling learners and make appropriate learning accommodations for their success.

Students will be ready to be teachers when they finish their experience. They will be able to identify learning weaknesses and create interventions for their students. They will be able to plan and implement lessons. They will learn to work collaboratively with teaching teams.
