Field Services Office

What is the Field Services office?

The Field Services Office is a department of the Teacher Education Department.  It creates, supports, and administers all field placements associated with students in all education programs: secondary education (SECED), elementary education (ELED), special education (SPED), and early childhood education/early childhood special education blended (ECSE). Field exerpiences include practicums, student teaching, and internships. This office also works with the Academic Dsicovery Center (ADC) and Teacher Education Dept. for career placements, surveys, assessments, and accreditation.

This website will help you answer questions you have about practicums, internships, and student teaching.  It will also help you make decisions about where to student teach and decide between our partner schools.

A new set of policies and guidelines governing ALL field experiences will be available online or for purchase (printed) in the bookstore.  Check back here to access (available here by July 1, 2012).

It is NEVER too early to apply for student teaching.
