One Credit Letter Grade Option

 

 To pass this class with a C- grade, attendance at a 1-1/2 hour lecture (Gospel Values) and six individual art experiences are required.

 

Attendance at additional Lectures and/or Art Experiences (after completing the minimum listed above) raises the grade as outlined below:
  • 14 = A
  • 13 = A-
  • 12 = B+
  • 11 = B
  • 10 = B-
  • 9 = C+
  • 8 = C
  • 7 = C-
  • 6 or less = F
  
5 Lectures are presented four times during the semester. You need to attend each lecture ONCE.
  • Gospel Values - required to pass course - attend one lecture
  • Dance - attend one lecture
  • Music - attend one lecture
  • Theatre and Film - attend one lecture
  • Visual Arts - attend one lecture
9 Arts Experiences
  • Band/Orchestra Event
  • Choir Event
  • Dance Event - limited tickets, plan early
  • Live Stage Play 1 - limited tickets, plan early
  • Live Stage Play 2 or Theatre Event
  • Visual Arts Exhibit 1*
  • Visual Arts Exhibit 2*
  • Student Choice Event 1**

*Self guided visual art exhibit tour requires a written summary for the exhibit visited. Details are on the Visual Art Scantron sheets located on the wall in the Spori Gallery. Return completed Scantron sheet to Spori 253.  BRING A PENCIL WITH YOU. Guided Tours (not offered during the Summer semester) require a ticket. Free tickets are available the week of the exhibit at the Cashier's Window in the Kimball Building. The tour schedule will be e-mailed. Tours are approximately 20 minutes long. BRING YOUR I-CARD WITH YOU. Attending the guided visual art exhibit tour does not require a written summary.

 

**After you have completed the requirement in any specific category (ex. Dance, Choir, Concert, Live Stage Play, etc.) you may use other events in these categories to fill your Student Choice Option Category requirement.
