Outlet is BYU-Idaho's Creative Journal. The Journal seeks submissions from all types of written and visual creative art. As a yearly publication, Outlet is a means to allow students to find a publication avenue for their art whether it is poetry, photography, fiction, illustration, painting, graphic design, interior design, architectural or engineering projects, or any other form of creative expression.

"Outlet fits, in our minds, into the overall mission of BYU-Idaho. Obviously, it's important in an academic environment to encourage student creativity and excellence; we try to do this every day, as faculty, within our classrooms. But often the work produced there has no purpose or audience beyond the immediate assignment. Outlet provides a channel for students to express their ideas and talents to an audience beyond the classroom."
