Biography

Born and raised in Winnemucca, Nevada, Lori E. Woodland earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada in Reno and her master’s degree from Brigham Young University. She coached women’s basketball at Ricks College from 1985-1994, 1997-2002, and led the Lady Vikings to national basketball prominence.

In 2000, Lori was invited to assist in establishing the Activities Program at BYU-Idaho and in 2002 was named the director of the Physical Activities Program. Now retired, she and her husband, Richard, reside in Rexburg where he serves as mayor and she serves as the Relief Society president of her ward.
