Robert F. Wahlquist was born in Moses Lake, Washington and grew up in St. George, Utah. He married Michelle Hansen in the Seattle Washington Temple in 1984.
He and Michelle are the parents of seven children, with one son and six daughters.
He has served in many capacities including, as a full-time missionary to Lima, Peru, Young Men president three times, Stake Young Men president, bishop of a family ward in Vernal, Utah and bishop of a singles ward in Pocatello, Idaho.
He has taught for the Church Educational System since 1985. He spent nearly 10 years as a seminary teacher pre-service trainer both in Pocatello and at BYU-Idaho.
He has been employed by BYU-Idaho for the past five years and loves teaching and the students.
