Get to know the teachers who will present at Education Week.
Ryan is completing his tenth year of teaching in the Seminary and Institutes for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He has spent the last nine years at the Price Senior Seminary at Carbon High School (Price, Utah). Before teaching in Price, he spent one year teaching in Idaho Falls at Bonneville High School. He has spoken as a guest speaker in many firesides and education weeks and forums for the Church, College of Eastern Utah, and Utah State Eastern.
Maxfield loves teaching, but the greatest joy in his life comes from his family. He is happily married to Emily Maxfield and they are the proud parents to four beautiful children (Bryndee 8, Bronco 6, Boston 4, Bentley 1, and they are expecting their fifth in September). Maxfield has served faithfully in many church callings as well as in scouting. He served his mission in San Jose, Costa Rica and is currently serving as bishop of the Westwood Ward in Price, Utah of the Helper, Utah Stake.
Maxfield graduated from Ricks College with his associate’s degree in Business and has bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Management from BYU-Idaho. He received his master’s degree in Education from Utah State University.
