Jason Meldrum


Jason Meldrum received a B.A. in Communications from Brigham Young University. He also attained an M.A in Education from St Mary’s University. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D in Education leadership at Idaho State University.

Meldrum has worked in higher education for 15 years, with 10 years of experience in admissions. He has also served as the director for career services, director of admissions and dean of students, over the course of careers.

Meldrum has been married to Julie for 18 years. They have four children: Brittany, Jared, Katie and Nathan. Meldrum enjoys playing golf, jet skiing, snow skiing and spending time with his family. He served a mission to Puerto Rico and loves working with the youth.

Class Outline

This class will discuss how the small choices we make on a regular basis (sometimes without much thought) can have long-lasting and even eternal consequences. We will discuss how to make good small choices regarding our education, our social life, and our eternal life.

Learning Objectives

1. D & C 64:33-When we realize our eternal potential, we realize the
    importance of small things.

2. Alma 37: 6-7-We are the "small things" used by Heavenly Father in
    order to bring about His purposes.

3. James 3:4-A large ship is directed and controlled by the smallest
    and simplest of helms.

4. D&C 123-When calamity swirls all around us, relying on small and
    simple things gives us the protection we need to survive.

5. 2 Kings 5:1-14-Naaman has a difficult time obeying a simple task
    that will have drastic and everlasting consequences.
