Prior to joining Bonneville Communications and assuming the role of Director of Digital Media for the award-winning "I'm a Mormon" campaign, John Dye served as the president of Fluid Studio, an integrated marketing and advertising firm located in Bountiful, Utah. While at Fluid, he worked with many retail brands including Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and Costco.
Dye has been a longtime participant in social media realms (including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, and other online social media platforms) and has helped numerous companies effectively incorporate social media into their overall marketing strategies. He enjoys experiencing how technology can create links between individuals and loves seeing how social media encourages the growth of the Gospel.
John is a graduate of Brigham Young University where received both his Master and a Bachelor of Arts in English. In his spare time, he enjoys participating in BYU Cougar Club activities, serving on the editorial board for BYU Magazine, running, reading, and spending time with his family.
The Internet and social media can be tools to share our beliefs. This class will discuss best practices on how to utilize Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, YouTube, and mormon.org to take the gospel to the "uttermost parts of the earth."
Note: People attending should be familiar with (and preferably active participants in) the social media platforms mentioned above.
