Early Field (ECSE, ELED & SECED) : Early Field Teaching Practicum
ED 243 (starting Fall 2014)
This course is designed as an introductory practicum experience that allows students to immediately apply principles of instruction and classroom management in the regular elementary school classroom working with students and teachers. Students will have the opportunity to teach one-one-one, in small groups, and in whole class settings. Students will meet in an on-campus seminar for discussion of the practical experience and to receive teacher-guided instruction. Students will learn basic lesson planning, classroom management, and be introduced to teaching strategies and professionalism.
