Electronic Transcript Information for Students and Alumni

Brigham Young University-Idaho offers secure electronic PDF transcripts to all current and former students FREE of charge. Delivery of these transcripts is within minutes of the request being submitted. All that is required to receive an electronic (PDF) transcript is a valid email address plus the current version of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader downloaded for free at http://www.adobe.com.

Current and former BYUI students can request their transcripts online at http://www.byui.edu/transcripts/ordering-transcripts or by logging in to your BYU-Idaho account.  Once logged in, click on the "Student" or "Former Student" tab then choose "Transcript Request."

Individuals who do not have a username can create one on the login page at https://secure.byui.edu/cas/login?service=https://my.byui.edu/ICS/.  Students who attended Ricks College before 1983 will need to have their record added to the computer before logging in by going to http://www.byui.edu/transcripts/ordering-transcripts-prior-to-1983.

Requestors will receive an email confirmation when the transcript request is submitted.  The recipient will receive an email containing instructions on how to download the electronic (PDF) document.  The requestor will also receive an email once the transcript has been downloaded. If the requestor requests web delivery + tracking another email will be received by the requestor with a link to real-time notification when the transcript has been opened, printed, and closed.

Many institutions accept secure electronic PDF transcripts and it is becoming more widespread. BYU-Idaho recommends that students check with the recipient before sending an electronic transcript to verify that they will accept an electronic transcript. We also recommend that you verify the correct email address before submitting a request for a PDF transcript to ensure transmission of transcript.

Electronic PDF transcripts are secured by a digital certificate. This certifies the validity of the transcript to the recipient and ensures the receiver that the transcript has been prepared and delivered by Brigham Young University Idaho and that the transcript is authentic and has not been altered.
