Collegiate Dancers

Collegiate Dancers is a student directed performing group that provides students with leadership, teaching, performing and choreography opportunities. As representatives of BYU-Idaho, this outreach group performs for the community, schools, and local organizations in addition to campus events. Students that participate on this team gain lasting friendships, technical dance skills, and valuable team and leadership experience. Dancers audition to be accepted to the team and are chosen by individual choreographers to be in specific dance numbers.

In the Winter 2015 semester, dancers will be chosen to perform in one or more of the following styles: waltz, foxtrot, ballet, pointe, pas de deux, Irish step dance, Russian character dance, and contemporary. If accepted to the team, dancers are expected to perform any of the dance styles to which they are assigned and to understudy any additional roles they are asked to cover.

The Collegiate Dancers will jointly perform on campus with the Dance Alliance team in the Extravadance performance held March 12-14, 2015, at the Kirkham Theatre.
