Brigham Young University - Idaho

A new launch of satellite locations for the ASN Program is being reviewed and is not anticipated for 2012. No Distance Education opportunities are currently offered.

Distance Learning

Students in satellite locations will attend nursing classes, labs, and clinical arrangements at designated facilities. From a distant learning classroom, students will join BYU-Idaho classrooms for live instruction through a video/web conferencing system. Clinical hours are scheduled for Fridays and/or Saturdays. Generally, 12 clinical hours are required each week.

Participation Requirements

A cohort of students will be admitted. While preference will be given to qualified students from the satellite areas, all students who meet the following requirements may apply:

• Students must have over 48 college credits, which include completing all the Alternate Track Prerequisites.
• Students must have completed all general education and/or foundations course work before starting the Nursing Program.
• Students must be admitted first to BYU-Idaho and meet all university requirements.
• International students do not qualify due to Visa regulations. (Please contact International Services for details.)
