Who can take Continuing Education Evening School credit classes?
Is there an application and/or admissions process?
If you are a community patron and not admitted to BYU-Idaho, you must submit an application before you register for classes from Continuing Education. You can access the CE Application by going to www.BeSmart.com.
When can I register?
Evening School registration is now credit-based. For a current schedule, please visit the Student Records and Registration Office.

Can I be added to a waiting list if the class is full?
Do Continuing Education Evening School credit classes count for BYU-Idaho credit?
Yes, Evening School credits will be applied toward BYU-Idaho transcripts.
How many credits per semester can I take through Continuing Education?
You may take as many as your schedule allows.
What financial aid is available for Continuing Education students?
Financial aid money may be available for Continuing Education students. Contact the Financial Aid office at http://www2.byui.edu/FinancialAid/ or (208) 496-1600 for additional information.
Are all credit classes taught in the evening considered Continuing Education Evening School credit classes?
No. Some (day-school) classes are offered in the evening and are limited to students who are on-track. All available Continuing Education Evening School classes can be found in the BYU-Idaho Registration System.
If I'm on academic suspension, am I allowed to take Continuing Education Evening School credit classes?
Students who are on academic suspension from BYU-Idaho will not be allowed to take classes through Continuing Education. Please view BYU-Idaho's Catalog for Academic Policies.
When do Continuing Education Evening School credit classes begin and end?
Evening School classes follow the BYU-Idaho semester schedule. For a current schedule, see this year's current BYU-Idaho Catalog.
Can I register for Continuing Education Evening School credit classes if I am on-track?
Yes, the sections offered through Evening School are designated as EXTD sections and are open to both on and of track students. These sections will be listed on the MY.BYUI.EDU registration page.
May Continuing Education students obtain a BYU-Idaho ID card, use the Hart Building, and have BYU-Idaho student health insurance?
- A student ID card may be obtained at the Kimball building room 130. (Bring your photo ID.)
- To use the Hart Building, visit the Hart Rules and Standards page.
- BYU-Idaho health insurance is available to day school students only.
Can I register by phone if I don't have access to a computer?
Telephone registration is not available. All registration must take place through your MY.BYUI.EDU registration page. Any registration problems are handled through the Registrar's Office at (208) 496-1001 or email@example.com.
How do I obtain a NetID and a BYU-Idaho email account?
A NetID may be obtained online at my.byui.edu. Once there, click "Forgot Password/Net ID, Don't have a Net ID, or can't login?". Follow the instructions provided to obtain a NetID. To set up a BYU-Idaho e-mail account, or for any other related questions, call the McKay Library Computer Help Desk at (208) 496-9000.
When is the last day to drop a credit class?
See the BYU-Idaho Academic Schedule for drop deadlines. Students WILL NOT be automatically dropped from a class if they fail to attend.

Where can I live?
If admitted as a Community student through C.E., but not as a full-time matriculating student with a track assignment, you are not eligible for many full-time student services. This includes housing - you are not eligible to live in approved housing. For more information regarding housing, contact the Housing Department at http://beta.byui.edu/housing or (208) 496-9220.
