Chemistry Department Scholarships

The Chemistry Department awards a limited number of scholarships each semester.  Successful applicants must be majoring in Chemistry or Chemistry Education, must meet all criteria established by the Scholarship Office, and must not already have a full-tuition scholarship.  Applications will be considered after a student has completed at least one chemistry course at BYU-Idaho (Chemistry 105 or higher) and is enrolled in succeeding courses according to his or her graduation plan; with rare exceptions students should be enrolled in chemistry classes each semester.  Selection of scholarship recipients will be based on overall GPA, GPA in BYU-Idaho chemistry courses, and evidence of progress towards a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemistry Education.  Extenuating circumstances will be considered.  Applicants with a chemistry GPA less than 3.0 (less than 3.7 if only 105 and 106 have been completed) will be given lower priority for available funds.

Applications are due by the end of the first month of classes for the following semester.  Click here for an application form.
