Twelfth NightBy William Shakespeare
Directed by Trevor Hill November 15-18 & 28, December 1, 7:30 Snow Drama Theater
Twelfth Night, or What You Will centers on twins Viola and Sebastian, who are separated in a shipwreck. Viola disguises herself as a boy and assumes the name Cesario for protection. In this disguise Viola becomes a page in the service of Orsino, the Duke. Orsino is having little luck courting Countess Olivia, who is in mourning the deaths of her father and brother. Viola (Cesario) is sent as Orsino's proxy and upon meeting her, Countess Olivia falls in love with her thinking she is a man. This is further complicated by the fact that Viola has found herself falling in love with Orsino. Twelfth Night is about illusion, deception, disguises, madness, and the extraordinary things that love will cause us to do.
