Celtic bagpiper Carlos Núñez comes from Galicia, a Celtic region in northwest Spain. He has expanded the borders of Celtic music to include flamenco, fado, Cuban, Mexican, Brazilian and classical music, movie soundtracks and contemporary dance. As Carlos describes it, he plays Celtic music with Latin passion. Sony Music has released his 10 albums, selling 1 million copies since his debut in 1996, amassing several platinum and gold CDs and DVDs, as well as two Latin Grammy nominations. His album Santiago, for which he became honorary member of The Chieftains, was awarded a Grammy in 1997.
