The Borealis Wind Quintet, nominated for a 2006 Grammy Award in the chamber music category, is acclaimed as one of America's finest chamber ensembles. The quintet was formed at the Juilliard School of Music, and the five members enjoy a love of music, friendship, and a goal to make the best music possible.. The quintet will perform "Trois Pieces en Quintette" by Adolphe Deslandres, "March" by John Barrows, "Lincolnshire Posy" by Percy Grainger, "Eight Russian Folk Songs" by Anatoly Liadov, "Three Moods" by Andrey Rubtsov, and "Potpourris Fantastico" by Giulio Briccialdi. RATING: Classical music.
Tickets go on sale October 28. $6 for BYU-Idaho students, $12 for general public. No children under six. Event dress.
