Elderhostel: Main Info
What is Elderhostel?
Elderhostel is a unique non-profit organization that combines the best traditions of education and hosteling to create a stimulating academic environment for adults age 55 and older and their guests. Elderhostel is based on the belief that retirement does not have to mean withdrawal from active life; instead, it provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy new adventures and activities.
Brigham Young University - Idaho offers Elderhostel programs at two locations:
- BYU-Idaho Campus: (From Yellowstone to the Moon and Everything In-Between)
- West Yellowstone: (Canyons, Geysers, Hot Springs: Yellowstone In Action)
When does Elderhostel take place?
Elderhostel programs take place during the spring, summer, and fall seasons at locations including: West Yellowstone and BYU-Idaho Campus.
Participation Requirements
You must be 55 years of age or older to attend an Elderhostel program or accompany a spouse, parent, or grandparent in that age group.
Grandchildren are welcome to attend an Intergenerational Elderhostel with their grandparents but must meet the age specification for the individual program.
Cost Information
The cost for each location and program varies.
Registration Information
Registration for all Elderhostel events is done through the Elderhostel office in Boston at the Elderhostel Website.
