Education Week: Volunteers

Volunteer to Host

Approximately 150 volunteers host at Education Week.  We are seeking those who enjoy serving others, love to learn and meet new people.  For a fantastic experience, come join our hosting staff.

Hosting Staff Criteria:

• You will receive a complimentary full-program pass when choosing to commit to serving a part-time shift in three consecutive days.
• Part-time morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available.
• Shifts begining on Thursday, and continuing through Friday and Saturday, are scheduled at 8:45-12:25 a.m.,

     12:30-4:10 p.m., and 4:15-7:55 p.m.

• Volunteers are requested to attend an orientation  training meeting on Saturday, July 17, from 10-12 noon.
• Hosting staff must be 18 years of age or older.

Basic Hosting Staff Assignments:

• Check name badges as the participants enter the classroom.
• Announce the speaker and title of the class.
• Count the number of participants attending the lecture.
• Complete a daily evaluation.
• Answer questions.
• Uphold the BYU-Idaho dress standards.
• Help provide a great experience for participants.
