EDUCATION WEEK:  VOLUNTEERS

VOLUNTEER TO HOST

Approximately 175 volunteers host at Education Week.  We are seeking those who enjoy serving others, love to learn and meet new people.  For a fantastic experience, come join our hosting staff.

HOSTING STAFF CRITERION:

• You will receive a complimentary full-program pass when choosing to commit to serving a part-time shift in three consecutive days.
• Part-time morning, afternoon, and evening shifts are available.
• Shifts begining on Thursday, and continuing through Friday and Saturday, are scheduled at 8:15-11:55 a.m.,

     11:55-3:40 p.m., and 3:40-7:25 p.m.

• Volunteers are requested to attend an orientation  training meeting on Saturday, July 19, from 10-12 noon.
• Hosting staff must be 18 years of age or older.

BASIC HOSTING STAFF ASSIGNMENTS:

• Check name badges as the participants enter the classroom.
• Announce the speaker and title of the class.
• Count the number of participants attending the lecture.
• Complete a daily evaluation.
• Answer questions.
• Uphold the BYU-Idaho dress standards.
• Help provide a good experience for participants.
