EDUCATION WEEK: ACCOMMODATIONS


 

MEALS

Meals are served in the Manwaring Center at "The Galley" by the BYU-Idaho Food Services. Meal tickets may be purchased in advanced or at the door. Meat tickets can be shared among participants.

6-meal Ticket - $45

8-meal Ticket - $55

 Notice: Meal tickets are valid July 31 through Saturday Lunch, August 2, 2008.

 

 OTHER MEAL OPTIONS:

  • JoLynn's Bakery and Bagel Shoppe
  • Tomassito's Italian Cafe

 

CAMPUS HOUSING

Note:  Individual and Married Couple Housing is currently full.  Air conditioning is not available in any of the housing options.

HOUSING OPTIONS:

 

Individual Housing - $58  

Participants purchasing individual housing will share a room with one other person.  Participants may request one roommate.  If participants would like to be housed in one unit with a specific group of friends or family, the groups must consist of at least four participants.

Married Couple Housing - Full

Couples that purchase married couple housing will stay in their own private room for the duration of the program.

 

ASSIGNMENT OF ROOMMATES:

On-campus housing is limited to first-come, first served.

  • Early requests do no necessarily correlate with location of housing. 
  • Participants who come alone will be assigned a roommate of their own gender. 
  • Couples will be housed in their own unit.  Groups of more than six will be assigned adjoining apartments or rooms.

 

Housing confirmations will be mailed in June.

 

HOUSING REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Individual and married couple housing is currently full. 

 

Note:  If you are a male and register for "individual housing," you will be assigned a male roommate unless a roommate is requested. The same rule applies to female participants.

 

TYPE OF HOUSING AVAILABLE:

  • The dorms have raised beds and no air conditioning. 

All beds are raised approximately 4 feet off the ground.  If you are unable to climb a ladder to get into a raised bed, please consider other housing arrangements.

  • Two or three-bedroom apartments (4-6) twin beds in on-campus housing with bathroom and living area.
  • Dormitory-style rooms (2 twin beds) with shared bathroom facilities and central lounge.

 

Please request which type of housing is preferred on the application.  Note any special considerations such as walking limitation, stairs, etc. 

 

RESTRICTIONS AND GUIDELINES:

No children under the age of 14 will be allowed in campus housing including babies. Students ages 14-18 must be accompanied by an adult. Honor Code observance is required in campus housing.

 

ITEMS PROVIDED:

The following items are provided (per person):  soap, washcloth, towel, a flat sheet and a fitted sheet, blanket, pillow, and pillowcase. Microwaves and micro-refrigerators are available in most rooms.

 

ITEMS NOT PROVIDED:

The use of the oven or stove is not permitted.  Also, cups, plates, pots, pans, and silverware are not furnished in any of the apartments. Telephones will not be accessible in most rooms. Hangers are not provided.  

Participants may consider buying a personal bed fan due to the fact that there is no air conditioning.
