| CONTENT AND TOPICS: | Picks up where Chinese 101 leaves off. Completes a cursory view of basic Chinese grammar in a communicative setting. Cultivation of the four skills. Vocabulary, grammar and functions are combined and employed as communication tools. Reading and writing of Chinese characters. | ||
| GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: | -Understand and use familiar, often memorized, language to creat sentence-length utterances, to participate in conversations, and to ask and answer basic questions. -Write, in Chinese characters, most of what one is able to say, developing the ability to write short notes and letters. -Read basic Chinese based on what one has learned to say, which is primarily sentence length, but also includes short paragraph length texts. |
