| OBJECTIVES: | At the conclusion of this course students will be able to: 1. Understand the structure, operation, and design of one or more commercial microprocessors and microcontrollers; 2. Write, execute, and debug assembly language programs; 3. Understand the architecture and uses of internal registers, flags, memory organization, and stacks; 4. Understand the role of hardware components and interfaces (memory, I/O, interrupts, bus cycles, etc.) to overall microcomputer system operation; 5. Apply knowledge of microprocessors and microcontrollers to practical applications. |
