Elder Jon and Sister Cindy Jessop
Jon Jessop was born in Ogden, Utah and grew up in Utah and Colorado. He attended the University of Denver where he received his B.S. in Marketing and his M.B.A. in Management. He was employed by Corning Glass Works for five years in Denver, Corning New York, and the middle Atlantic region working in the areas of market research, advertising, and sales of new products. From 1970-2005 he was involved in his family’s business, a high-end retail furniture and interior design company in downtown Denver.
Jon has served as ward and stake employment specialist for about 7 years. He has also been a ward and stake missionary, Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, Bishop, on the High Council, and a counselor in several bishoprics. Jon has also served as a part time missionary at the Denver Employment Center and is currently serving in the bishopric of the singles’ ward in the Denver Stake.
Cindy Jessop was born in Denver. She received a degree in History and Education from Colorado College. While raising their children, she taught part-time and worked part-time in their family business. From 1997-2005 she was involved full-time in their company overseeing advertising and managing the outdoor furniture department.
The Jessop’s retired in 2005 and enjoy visiting their 5 children and 13 grandchildren in Texas, Utah, and New Jersey. They love the mountains and gardening. Jon is an avid fly fisherman and Tennis player.
