Career Workshop

The Career Workshop is a compilation of activities designed to help you achieve your career goals. The following areas are covered:

  • Your Goals - identifying your strengths and network.
  • Your Resources - identifying effective job search skills and techniques
  • Your Interaction with Resources - communicating your value to employers, schools, and customers.

The workshop is taught on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the semester by trained student mentors. It gives the information necessary to participate in the Career Management Seminar.

Past Participant Responses

Everyone should go through the Career Workshop...I was prepared for interviewing by learning about Power Statements and feedback from the videotaping of my mock interviews...The network group meetings motivated me when I was discouraged to go out and get involved in civic organizations, as a matter of fact, that is how I found the lead to my current job

I have shared and used the techniques that were taught at the workshop to help others. It is a wonderful program that should be shared throughout the church. It will arm an individual with the employment management skills needed to actively manage their careers and make them self-sufficient in this area of concern
