Elder Marty Oestreicher has lived in New York City all his life, excpet for two years that he spent in Israel. He recently retired after serving in New York City government for nearly 30 years. His most recent position was Chief Executive for School Support Services in the New York City Department of Education. In that role, he oversaw school bus transportation, food services, building management, and interscholastic sports for New York City's 1.1 million public school students. His previous assignments included management of property assessments and the parking violations and recycling programs. He has also served as Vice President/New York Business Manager for the engineering consultant firm DMJM+Harris.
