 IBC Program

Students are required to complete Accounting 201 and Accounting 202 before taking the IBC.    Students will not be allowed to take Accounting 201 or Accounting 202 at the same time as the IBC.  Instead, they should focus on receiving a C- or higher in Accounting 201/202 and spend the necessary time in the tutoring center so they can pass these Accounting classes the first time and not be delayed in completing graduation requirements.   Additionally, it is highly recommended students NOT take Econ 358, CIT 350, Eng 312 or B 275 before taking the IBC but instead focus on Accounting 201/202 and take these other courses after the IBC.

If a student finds themselves in a situation where they cannot progress and they feel they have to take Accounting 201/202 at the same time as the IBC, they are advised to take it through BYU-Provo Continuing Education and complete the course with a C- or higher BEFORE the first day of class for the IBC.  The grade from the online course will have to be transferred back to BYU-Idaho from BYU-Provo via a transcript request and a course substitution form will have to be completed at BYU-Idaho in SMI 296.

If you have additional questions about the Accounting 201/202 policy, please contact the College of Business and Communication Advising Center at 208-496-1551 or the Business Management Department Office at 208-496-1413.
