Before creating the advertisement with this channel, read the information below to understand its purpose. If this channel best communicates the message to the target audience and will deliver the desired outcome of the marketing plan, then you can proceed to create the advertisement.
Departments can use their bulletin board for news and announcements that are associated with that department.
- Can be effective if the event or announcement is related to the department in which you wish to have your ad placed.
- Generally reserved for department announcements and events.
- Cluttered bulletin boards can lead to other advertisements, promotions, and announcements competing for your audience’s attention.
Events and information regarding a department can be posted to that department’s bulletin board. Get advertisements from off-campus entities that will be useful to your students. Posters from potential employers do not require an approval stamp.
If you wish to have something posted on a department's bulletin board, you must obtain permission from the department office. However, there is no official approval process. Contact the department to whom the board belongs.
Advertisements on bulletin boards should not conflict with the Honor Code or the message of the university.
After you've received approval from your department, you may hang up your ad.
