Adventure for Youth: Main Info

Get Ready for Adventure!

Adventure for Youth is your summer's adventure!  The purpose of Adventure for Youth (AFY) is to encourage youth ages 14-18 to draw closer to the Savior by acting on true principles, engaging in adventure, and seeking an excellent balance in all things.  Activities from nightly firesides to white water rafting are dedicated to making this experience one that will have a lasting impression on whoever attends.  Youth are given the opportunity to experience activities outside their comfort zone as they challenge themselves both physically and mentally. We currently accept about 90 participants each week. The advantage of having a limited enrollment allows the program to offer many activities that are unique to AFY. These activities include a visit to Yellowstone National Park, whitewater rafting, and climbing a 50-foot rock wall course. In addition to these unique features, youth have the opportunity to attend daily devotionals, game nights, and dances throughout the program.

What to Look Forward to:

  • White Water Rafting
  • Day trip to Yellowstone National Park
  • 2-3 High Ropes Courses. For example The Giant Swing, Powerpole, Climbing Tower with zip line, the Jungle Gym, and Horizontal Log.  Check out our videos at our YouTube channel!
  • Big Group Devotionals
  • Sleeping in Bunk Cabins

Remember each program is centered around the Gospel of Jesus Christ and includes nightly firesides, student led devotionals, and large and small group games that teach principles of the gospel with lasting effect.  Plus what is a youth program without a dance!  Prepare to make friends and memories that will help shape the rest of your life!
