From 1999-2003, Pew funded a project that showed how Universities could redesign instructional approaches using technology to improve the quality and cost effectiveness of courses.

With a foundation of lessons learned from these studies, other research, and the on-going dialog regarding the BYU-Idaho Learning Model, the Department of Academic Technology works with individual faculty or departments to redesign courses to improve course quality, serve more students, and improve cost effectiveness.
