Jeff Ward is a nationally recognized artist with a powerful understanding of traditional painting. Born in Idaho, Ward gained an early appreciation for art, primarily through the western landscape. Influenced, while in his youth, by the local galleries of the Northwest his love of art flourished in relation to his love of the Rocky Mountain outdoors. After studying under renown wildlife artist, Leon Parson, the decision to focus solely on art became an easy one. Ward excelled quickly at Ricks College, separating himself from his peers through his dedication and work ethic. He soon moved to California after his acceptance into the Art Center College of Design. Jeff crowned his hard work and effort there by graduating Valedictorian of his class with a record breaking grade point average. He found early succes in many Los Angeles galleries and through the California Art Club with his Plein Aire and figurative paintings. Ward's talents for commercial art and illustration have also reached national exposure. Countless movie posters, toy packages, advertising storyboards, and magazine illustrations have come to life through the skill of his hand. He continues to share his knowledge, and bring enjoyment to others through the lifelong study of traditional painting. Jeff currently resides in Rexburg, Idaho with his wife and four children.
