The Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is the standard art degree. All students who major in studio art will choose an emphasis area: 2D, 3D, Graphic Design, Illustration, or Photography. Those that don't pursue the BFA degree, stay in this degree. This degree has open enrollment and doesn't require an application or portfolio for admission.
Students who study Graphic Design at BYU-Idaho receive instruction in the technical, aesthetic, and theoretical approaches to Graphic Design with a focus on user experience. Upon graduation students will foundational skills exhibiting their mastery of technical and aesthetic principles. Our students will be prepared to take advantage of opportunities in the areas of print and web design.
