Funniest Idea in Electronics Class with Brother Thomas Crapo, 1981-1982

By Stephen Adelbert. Smith '82, Salt Lake City, Utah

How many alumni from 1981 to 1982 in Electronics Engineering Technology, can remember Brother Thomas Crapo's creativity and humor?

One day in Electronics Engineering Technology class with Brother Thomas Crapo, we got into a humorous conversation about how to open a glass cover to a watt-hour meter, turn the field coil upside-down, and get credit on your electric bill.  One student remarked, "Well, instead of going to all that trouble, why don't you just turn all your appliances upside-down?"  Everyone burst out laughing for 30 seconds straight!
