1940s
Revola Hobbs 40 of Preston, Idaho, is very active in Cub
Scouting. She received the District Award of Merit in 1991 and the Silver
Beaver Award in 1997. Revola and her late husband Roland 41 have six
children.
Norma Gustafson 44 of Richland, Wash.,
recently celebrated her 80th birthday by going skydiving. She
is a retired elementary teacher and an active community member.
1980s
Jan Eric Newman 80, vice president of corporate development for
Altiris, was named to vSpring Capitals inaugural v|100, a peer-selected
community of entrepreneurs based in Utah. Jan founded KeyLabs and Altiris
and has been an executive at Novell and Canopy Group. He and his wife
Lucia have six children and live in Elk Ridge, Utah.
Dan Hilbert 81 and his wife Felisa reside in
Tulsa, Okla. He retired from the Army in 2001 and returned to school to
finish his degree. This year he graduated magna cum laude from the
University of Tulsa with a degree in Spanish and education.
Mark Cottle 82 is finishing his second term
as mayor of Sherwood, Ore. He is an attorney and serves on the board of
directors of Newburg Providence Hospital. He and his wife Susie have four
children: a 12-year-old daughter and 8-year-old triplets.
Roger T. Pukahi 82 is a Major/O4 in the
Hawaii Army National Guard and an Army aviator and maintenance test pilot
on the CH-47D helicopter. He will be departing for Afghanistan as part of
his military duty. He is married to Jody Horlacher from Logan, Utah. They
have four sons and live in Laie, Hawaii.
Stephen A. Smith 82 is working at Universal
Lending Corporation in Denver, Colo., as a post-closing file clerk.
Stephen married his wife Bokryun Choi, a native of Seoul, Korea, in the
Denver Temple in 1994. They are the parents of two children.
Kevin 84 and Sydnee Butler Calderwood 82 of
Reston, Va., have six children. Kevin was named one of the top 100
Venture Entrepreneurs for his leadership in founding AMP Capital
Partners. He is also the president of Baan Americas.
Keith 87 and Bobbie McFarland Chambers 85
are living in Kansas City, Mo. Keith is the new vice president of
Outpatient Services for HCA Midwest Division. He is a 12-year veteran of
the health care industry and was previously an administrator of the Heart
of America Surgery Center in Kansas City.
Darnell Dickson 88 was recently named the
sports editor at the Daily Herald in Provo, Utah. He lives in Orem, Utah,
with his wife Barbara and their three children.
David 89 and Erin Klingler 89 live in Idaho
Falls, Idaho, with their five children. Erin recently published her first
novel, an LDS romance entitled Love Beyond Tomorrow.
Karl K. Koeppen 89 graduated from Utah State
University with a degree in landscape architecture. He works for Aspen
Resource Consultants and has been redesigning the landscaping and
irrigation systems of stake centers and meetinghouses in the Las Vegas
area. He and his wife Michelle have two daughters and live in Salt Lake
City.
1990s
Todd Schofield 90 is a residential real estate agent for Alain
Pinel Realtors in Woodside, Calif. He also works as a project manager for
a commercial real estate developer and investor. He and his wife Karen
have two children. They live in San Carlos, Calif.
Kristina Henriksen Narula 95 graduated from
North Carolina State University in December of 1999. She and her husband
Paul live in Pasadena, Md. Paul works for the Department of Defense. They
have one son.
Ryan 96 and Becky Hadley Briggs 96 recently
moved to Portland, Ore. Ryan is working as a project engineer with WRG
Design, Inc., and works as a consultant to the residential land
development industry. Ryan and Becky have three children.
Roy Strickland 96 is running a chiropractic
practice in Meridian, Idaho. He and his wife Miho live in Meridian with
their three children.
Curtis 97 and Rebecca LaClaire 97 live in
Phoenix, Ariz. Curtis graduated with degrees from J. Reuben Clark School
(juris doctorate) and the Marriott School of Management (MBA) at BYU. He
works for Honeywell Corp. Rebecca received a degree in dental hygiene
from Idaho State University. They have two sons.
Ryan 98 and Nicole Fisher Watson 96 reside
in Radford, Va. Ryan is completing an internship with S.E. Wagner
Architecture. Nicole graduated magna cum laude from Radford University.
She teaches the fifth grade at Snowville Elementary School in Hiwassee,
Va.
Michael Petersen, Jr. 98 is a tax manager
for Anderson, Petersen & Co. in Bountiful, Utah. He has a masters in
accounting from the Marriott School at BYU. He previously worked for
Ernst & Young in Salt Lake City. He and his wife Emily live in Kaysville
and have one child.
Eric Wolfe 98 is a dental student at Boston
University. He and his wife Lindsay live in Belmont, Mass.
2000s
Tynley Ann Dalling Bean 00 recently exhibited her abstract
expressionist paintings in a one-woman show in Seattle, Wash. She has a
bachelors degree in art from BYU. Tynley and her husband Sean 97 are
moving to Boston where he will attend Harvard on a math and science
scholarship.
