1975 ASRC Student Council

The Associated Students of Ricks College student council members from the Class of 1975 have gathered for reunions every four or five years since leaving Ricks. They have kept in touch throughout the years with e-mails, Christmas cards, and phone calls. This summer the group kicked off its reunion at Porter Park with a pancake breakfast, followed by a campus tour, bowling in the Manwaring Center, and concluding with the Together Again Like the First Time alumni dinner dance held in the Gordon B. Hinckley Building. The group took time from the busy day to recreate a photo reminiscent of its days at Ricks College.
     Speaking of her service as Ricks College’s ASRC executive secretary, Collette Burnham remarked, “It’s hard to believe that a single year could have so much of an impact on a person’s life.”

Showtime Company

A Showtime Company reunion for participants from the Harry Schultz era (1979-1985) was held in Rexburg on Aug. 16, 2003. Approximately 30 Showtime alumni returned with their families for an afternoon picnic and an evening fireside, giving members of the group a chance to renew friendships and share memories. 

Together Again Like the First Time

The second annual Together Again Like the First Time dinner dance was a smash hit with over 200 alumni in attendance. The evening featured a buffet dinner, live dance music, and a floor show presented by the BYU–Idaho Ballroom Dance Team. Lyle ’46 and Jacqueline Bowen ’47 were crowned king and queen of the dance reminiscent of their days at Ricks College when they were the sweetheart couple of the Lambda Delta Sigma Ball.
     The third annual event is scheduled for July 16, 2004, when Together Again goes rock-n-roll with a dinner, a concert with 1964 (Beatles impressionists), and a dance. Watch for details in the spring issue of Summit Magazine.
