1960s Wayne R. Sayers ’68 served in the airborne field artillery during Vietnam and now works for a company that destroys chemical warfare weapons. He and his wife have four children and six grandchildren.
1970s David R. ’74 and Lori Howell Deitrick ’76 live in Knoxville, Tenn. David was included in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers 2005-2006. April D. Carter ’75 has been the race director for the DeCelle Memorial Lake Tahoe Relay for six years.
Teresa Bateman ’78 is working as a school librarian in Tacoma, Wash. She has published 15 children’s books. The most recent came out in March 2006. Dr. Michael J. Lees ’78 graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in 1983 and then worked in a practice in Montana.
1980s Janne Lynn Gee ’80 and her husband Andy have three children. They live in Arlington, Texas, and own The Starship Pegasus Restaurant and Entertainment Center. Bruce E. Morgan ’82 owns a business which was selected as top national franchise in the Kitchen Tune-Up Franchise system. DuWaine ’84 and Bernice White Boone ’84 of Saint Michaels, Ariz., have three children. He is a manager for LDS Employment Resource Services, and she works for the Navajo Nation. Daris Howard ’84 wrote the play April Fools and won the ATC 2005 Playwright Contest. He teaches in the Department of Mathematics at BYU–Idaho and lives in St. Anthony, Idaho, with his wife Donna and their family.
Matthew D. Friend ’87 made a career change after being diagnosed with Usher’s Syndrome. He is working on a middle-level special education degree at the University of Central Arkansas. 1990s Dallas Scholes ’90 is manager of government affairs and communications for Kennecott Energy Company in Gillette, Wyo. He and his wife, Holly Noel Scholes ’90, have five children. Freddy E. Suxo-Sanchez ’90 has been with Kmart Corporation for 10 years and recently transferred to be the store manager of Kmart in Ammon, Idaho. Elizabeth S. Vanderwalker ’91 won the 1994 Mrs. Louisiana International competition. She is a corporate liaison for the University of Phoenix Online. Kelly ’92 and Sharla Braithwaite Duffin ’91 live in Scotts Valley, Calif. He is chief operating officer of Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, Calif., and is on the Board of the Central Coast Alliance for Health. Travis Jensen ’92 is a partner in the audit practice of KPMG LLP. Travis and his wife Ninna live in Meridian, Idaho, with their six children. Barton Schmitz ’92 is a director of sales operations at Cardinal Health. He and his wife, Ann Hepworth Schmitz ’91, are the parents of four sons and live in Lindenhurst, Ill.
Paul Dye ’94 has an out-patient physical therapy clinic in Rexburg. His wife, Virginia Hoffman Dye ’94, is a CADD designer. They have three children. Lee Guilford Harms ’94 is an Army Chaplain in Baghdad, Iraq. His wife, Heidi Jean Harper Harms ’99, lives in Richmond Hill, Virg. Chris Homer ’94 is the varsity football coach at Hurricane High School in Hurricane, Utah.
Matthew J. McEachran ’94 is owner and president of the Bluewater Country Adult Leisure Living Retirement Resort and resides in Mooretown, Ontario, Canada, with his wife, Melissa Wray McEachran ’94, and their son. Allison Raia ’94 competes on NASKA circuit for martial arts and is on the Nassa County, N.Y., water polo team.
Gregory Cash Hill ’96 and his wife, Marisa Schroeder Hill ’96, are faculty members at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. They have two children. Stephanie Hellewel Pollock ’96 and her husband Jasen have two girls and are foster parents. They are operating a jewelry business in Littleton, Colo. Sean Whiffen ’96 is co-founder of AutoNetTV™ which recently joined with Talking Pictures and Tony Toscano. Scott Chalmers ’97 teaches in the Granite School District in Utah. He received a Bronze Star Medal for service with the Army National Guard military intelligence in Afghanistan. Michael W. Phelps ’97 teaches seminary in Layton, Utah. His wife, Anna Sorensen Phelps ’97, is a certified nurse’s aide. They have two children.
Michael E. Laub ’99 works in an architectural and engineering department for McDonald’s Corporation. He and his wife, Megan Wilding Laub ’97, live in Bollingbrook, Ill.
2000s Heidi Danielson Hiller ’00 will be relocating to northern California in June 2006. Her husband Joshua is a DDS and a captain in the Air Force. Kara Lee Jacobs Strate ’00 graduated from UVSC with a BS in Behavioral Science. She and her husband Jayson live in Alberta, Canada, and are expecting their first child. Christine Schwartz Tedjamulia ’01 lives in Springville, Utah, and is in her second year of teaching fourth grade. Amy Thomas Wilcox ’01 still plays trumpet in a jazz band. Her husband Matthew teaches seminary at Provo High School. They have one daughter and live in Spanish Fork, Utah. Wade A. Williams ’01 is planning a residency for a degree in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Ryan Gibson ’03 is working as an Account Executive for the Portland Trail Blazers in season ticket sales.
Brock A. Mouser ’04 is a production manager in Columbia, Ohio. Paul Jared Bishop ’05 is working at SEGA in Newark, Calif. He and his wife, Kristin Godshall Bishop ’01, have one son. Eric R. Burgan ’05 does tech support for Convergys. He plans to attend flight school in Alabama. Daniel B. Peterson ’05 is a non-fiction/fiction writer and is now working on a book: The Teaching of the Gods.
Emily A. Woods ’05 works as a substitute for Granite School District in Utah while attending the University of Utah. Distinguished

2004-2005 school year. She and her husband James live in Lakeside,

W. White ’97 is a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the U.S. Marine Corps
in Iraq. His three children and wife, Rebecca Mortensen White ’00, live
in Cherry Point, N.C.
Jordan
Fowles ’98 graduated from the University of Michigan law School. He and
his wife, Andrea Clavin Fowles ’97, have four children and live in
Dallas, Texas. Jordan is practicing law at Fish and Richardson.
Christopher
L. ’04 and Alicia Geed Galbraith ’05 live in New York City. Chris works
as a financial analyst on Wall Street. Alicia is working on her master’s
degree and works at Cornell Medical Center. 
Tyler
Price ’05 has joined D.A. Davidson & Co. in Kennewick, Wash., as a
Financial Consultant. 
Irma
Anderson ’60 retired from BYU–Idaho in 2002. She was a business teacher;
chairman of the Accounting and Business Information Department; and
chairman of the Division of Business. Irma played a role in the
establishment of the BYU Jerusalem Center. She recently served a term on
the Rexburg City Council.
Clair
W. Andrus ’48 was a dentist and a professor of dentistry. He served in
the U.S. Air Force, earning the rank of colonel. Clair and his wife Ruby
have served several missions together including the Zaire Kinshasa
Mission where he served as president. Claire has also served as a bishop
and stake patriarch.
