BYU-Idaho Alumni Association's Groups, Councils, and Associations

The strength of our Alumni Association comes from our alumni and student volunteers who donate their time and talents in supporting BYU-Idaho and helping in our mission of preserving and enhancing the 'Spirit of Ricks.'

Here are the current Associations and groups.

  1. Alumni Ambassadors are alumni who represent BYU-Idaho in their local LDS stakes.
  2. The Alumni Council helps direct and guide all activities of the Alumni Association, including all communication, events, benefits, and alumni awards.
  3. The Emeriti Alumni Association includes all who attended or graduated over 50 years ago, as well as retired faculty, staff, and administrators.  This group offers an association and ongoing relationship with Brigham Young University - Idaho.
  4. The BYU-Idaho Student Advancement Council (BSAC) plans, coordinates, and oversees the activities of the Student Advancement Network. Members of this council also serve as liaisons with Alumni, Internship and Career Services, LDS Philanthropies, University Communications, and University Relations.
  5. The BYU-Idaho Student Advancement Network (BSAN) is a group of current and former students who have had significant leadership roles at BYU-Idaho. These students actively participate and support such BYU-Idaho on and off-campus advancement events as reunions, conferences, banquets, donor activities, firesides, etc. They serve as student hosts, presenters, and panel discussion participants. They provide a very important student voice and presence at all BYU-Idaho Advancement activities.
  6. The Student Alumni Association (SAA) are current BYU-Idaho students who help strengthen the links between past, present and future students.
  7. The Young Alumni Association includes all alumni who have graduated or attended within the past 10 years.  The Young Alumni Council helps establish meaningful relationships between other young alumni, student alumni, alumni, and the Emeritus Club. They also coordinate the efforts of the BYU-Idaho Young Alumni Advancement Network.
  8. The BYU-Idaho Young Alumni Advancement Network are BYU-Idaho Graduates who were members of the BYU-Idaho Student Advancement Network (BSAN) while students. Members of this network actively support and participate in local BYU-Idaho Advancement events. They also particpate in and support young alumni networking activities and serve as alumni mentors for current BYU-Idaho students.
