BYU vs ISU Basketball Game, November 29
The BYU–Idaho Alumni Association and Pocatello area Alumni Ambassadors are co-sponsoring with the the BYU Alumni Chapter a special tailgate party before the BYU vs. ISU basketball game on November 29, 2008 at 4:00 pm at the LDS Institute Building on the ISU Campus at 1011 E. Carter. The ISU Bengals vs. the BYU Cougars men's basketball game begins at 7:00 pm in the Holt Arena. Featured guests at the tailgate party include Greg Wrubell and Mark Durrant (the voice of the Cougars from KSL), Tim Lacomb, (Director of BYU Basketball operations), a BYU assistant basketball coach, and possibly Trent Plaisted (NBA Europe) . We will have delicious Dutch oven catered food including ribs, potatoes, baked beans, salad and peach cobbler.
We have reserved a large block of seats in Section G in the Holt Arena for Cougar fans. We hope to fill the section wearing our BYU blue. Tickets are on sale now for $26.00 which includes your meal and game ticket. Game tickets only are on sale for $16.00. Meal tickets only are on sale for $10.00. We hope you can join us!

Fall 2009 Spirit Week Reunion to Celebrate all BYU–Idaho and Ricks College Choirs
The Alumni Association is pleased to announce our Fall 2009 Spirit Week Reunion which will celebrate all BYU–Idaho and Ricks College Choirs. These groups include Collegiate Singers, A Capella Choir, Concert Chorale, Men’s Choir, Women’s Choir, Women’s Glee, Vikaliers, Madrigal Singers, New Freedom Singers, Vocal Union, University Choir, and other choral groups.
Members of these choirs will be invited to participate in a special reunion banquet and concert to be held on Saturday, October 10, 2009. The banquet, which will be hosted by current and retired music faculty members, will begin at 1:00 pm followed by a special reunion concert at 3:30 pm. Reunion guests will also be invited to participate in the other Spirit Week events. If you are an alumnus from any one the school’s choral groups, please make sure your contact information is up-to-date by registering for Alumni Connections at www.byui.edu/alumni. Personal invitations will be mailed early in 2009.

Mysteries of Mexico Tour, June 2009
One of the exciting sites on this tour is the ancient Mayan ruins of Palenque, deep in the Chiapas jungle and featuring some of the most well preserved temples, finest architecture, sculpture, roof-comb, and relief carvings the Maya produced.
