Kenneth Godfrey '53

          Ricks College alumni were honored at our April Emeritus Club breakfast. John C. Porter '32 of Rexburg, Idaho and Kenneth Godfrey '53 of Logan, Utah were the recipients of the Distinguished Emeritus Service Award. The award is given to those who lead exemplary lives of service.
         
John is the former mayor of Rexburg and through the years has been active in civic and church leadership.  John was the owner and publisher of the Rexburg Standard Journal.   John and his late wife Annette Oldham Porter ’31 are the parents of 4 children, and 10 grandchildren.
          Kenneth retired as the Director of the Logan Institute of Religion and is a popular lecturer and author.  Kenneth served as president of the Pennsylvania Pittsburg Mission and as an instructor at BYU’s Joseph Smith Academy in Nauvoo, Illinois.  Kenneth and his wife Audrey are the parents of 5 children and 15 grandchildren.
