Alaska Inside Passage Cruise
August 8-15, 2008

We are calling all alumni and friends to join with BYU-Idaho Ballroom Dance teachers Shawn and Janie Fisher and Ballroom Alumni on this exciting 7-night cruise. You and your partner are invited to experience America's last great frontier in the summer of 2008. Your incredible cruise through the Inside Passage to Alaska begins in beautiful Seattle as you board Royal Caribbean International's ultra-luxurious ship "Rhapsody of the Seas." We spend a relaxing day at sea before reaching your first port Juneau, home of the beautiful Mendenhall Glacier. Shop in the quaint stores for Native American art, or take the tram up Mt. Roberts for a spectacular view, or take an exciting helicopter tour and land on top of Mendenhall. Your next stop is Skagway, the staging town for the Klondike Gold Rush, where you may board a narrow gage train and head for the goldfields. Experience the exquisite Tracy Arm Fjord, as you cruise between 3,000-foot high granite walls through the Tongass National Forest for roughly 35 miles. Our final port is Prince Rupert, British Columbia, where you can take a short ride north to Khutzeymateen - Canada's only grizzly bear sanctuary. The "Rhapsody" spends the last day cruising the picturesque Inside Passage. Along the way, you might even learn some new dance moves!
