All applicants that have attended international schools will need to arrange for their academic documents to be evaluated by a third party evaluator. CES schools' preferred agency is International Education Research Foundation (IERF) www.ierf.org.
IERF: As the preferred agency, IERF has agreed to discount the evaluation fees (ex: detail report discount is $155, regularly priced $165). To qualify for this discount, simply indicate in the appropriate field that you are applying to one of the CES schools: BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii, and/or LDSBC. When selecting report type, please choose "detail report."
WES: If you choose World Education Services, (www.wes.org), the required type of evaluation report for high school (secondary education) documents is "DxD", and the required type of evaluation report for college or university documents is "CxC".
Choosing alternate evaluations may result in additional fees and a delay in the assessment. We suggest that you arrange for your academic documents to be submitted to IERF or WES 4-6 weeks before our admission application deadline in order to allow enough time for the company to submit the evaluation to CES.
BYU-Idaho requires the ACT or SAT exam of students from Canada and the U.S. territories and those educated in a U.S. based educational system. Students not educated in or through a U.S. or Canadian educational system are not required to submit ACT or SAT scores, though submission of scores is highly recommended.
To learn about specific academic requirements, please select the type of student you plan to apply as under the "Enrollment Options" section located on the left of this page.
