This program is used to help young children prepare for school-kindergarten. It is to help them develop their fine and large motor skills so they can be fully prepared, or have a head start when they start school. They do many activities like coloring and block building inside to help develop their fine motor skills, and space outside for them to run and climb and develop in large motor skills. It also gives them the chance to develop communication and people skills with children their age.
If you would like more information about this program please send us an e-mail to serviceactivities@byui.edu and mention this program specifically and we will get back to you.
Head Start is a preschool for low-income families. Head Start is a place of games, reading stories, snacks, and very loving children. It's a great opportunity to influence and grow children because they are at such a young age. We are currently looking for volunteers who can commit to 1-2 hours of service per week.
