Power Ratio Challenge
THE FIRST SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH.
OCT 6, NOV 3, DEC 1
To participate, join us at the BYU-Idaho Fitness Center. 10:30 am to get warmed up. Event starts at 11 am.
Participants judged on bench press, squats, dead lift, pull-ups, dips, vertical jump, and sit ups. In the weighted exercises and vertical jump, the participants will be given three opportunities to max out. Based on the resulted max outs for these exercises, participant's Strength-Weight-Ratio will be calculated by adding together the max out results of the exercises and dividing the total by the individual's body weight. Based on the participant's SWR, participant will qualify for one of three different strength categories: Power class (lowest), Superior Class (mid), or Elite Class (highest). In order to make it into one of these classes, students must reach the lowest SWR necessary to qualify. Women who participate will have a smaller ratio requirement for each class in comparison to the men.
-Winners will be emailed a certificate and instructions to purchase their T-shirt at the Bookstore. Winners may wear T-shirt at future Power ratio challenge events.
Prizes will be raffled off at the event at 2.00PM

Event T-shirts are available to purchase for $10.00. I-Cards will be charged for purchases.
Wear modest fitness clothing of your choice; issue clothing is not required. Wear what will show up best in black light.

Come participate in this special event. Please arrive at the fitness center 30 minutes early to sign-in and warm up.
Events that will be judged: Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift (winner determined by power index= weight squated [in lbs]+weight bench pressed [in lbs]+weight deadlifted [in lbs]/body weight [in lbs])
Event Fee: Free
Yes' and No's for the competition: Weight belts- Yes; Knee wraps- Yes; Chalk- Yes (provided); Wrist wraps for bench press- Yes; Straps for deadlift- No; Spectators 11 and under- No
Squat- High or Low bar
Deadlift- Sumo or regular
Details about each lift will be given before competition begins.

Its FREE. Come shake it with us in the ZUMBATHON! All Zumba instructors on campus are teaming up for 2 hours of sweat, laughter, and bustin' a move. Dance styles include hip hop, reggae ton, meringue, salsa, cumbia, and much more.
The location is at the Hart Main Gym. It is going to be AWESOME. Please enter at the designated doors.
We'll provide drinks and prizes. Free glow-sticks will be handed out at the door!
